Shediac – Bernadette Poirier, 95, passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence in Shediac, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, August 26, 2011, after a brief illness.
Born in Scoudouc on July 13, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Calixte and Octavie (Belliveau) LeBlanc.
Bernadette will be sadly missed by her son Guy Poirier (Huguette) of Shediac River; her brother, Emery LeBlanc (late Marguerite) of Campbellton; her two grandchildren, Danyele (David Savoie) and Carole; her three great grandchildren, Amélie, Emma and Thomas; also several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Aurèle and her two sisters, Élodie and Georgia.
In respect to Bernadette’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Tuesday, August 30th at 2 pm.
Donations to Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
