Born in Notre-Dame, NB, he was the son of the late Alfred and the late Evangeline (Cormier) Dionne.
Prior to retirement, Bernard was a very good carpenter and a jack of all trades. He was always ready to lend a helping hand in any way he could. He enjoyed the outdoors and gardening, and supporting his grandchildren in various sports and activities.
Bernard was a family man. He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Evelyne (Maillet) of Foyer Saint-Antoine. He was very proud of his children: Carolyn LeBlanc (Martin) of Saint-Joseph-de-Kent and Larry (Amy) Dionne of Riverview. He adored his two grandchildren: Kelsey LeBlanc and Ethan Dionne; three sisters: Jeannette Leger (Raymond) of Florida, Viola Cormier (late Raymond) of Massachusetts and Alfreda Despres (Bertin) of Shediac; two brothers: Normand (Madeleine) Dionne of Florida and Alyre (late Alice) Dionne of Rhode Island; one sister-in-law, Linda Bastarache of Maine; two brothers-in-law: Georges-Emile Maillet (Rita) of Richibucto-Village and Alvin Maillet (Huberte) of Richibucto, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one sister, Anita and three brothers: Gerard, Yvon (Louise) and Leonard.
A private family service will be held.
