Dieppe, NB – It’s with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Bobby Spencer, 66, on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024, after a short stay at the George-L.-Dumont University Hospital in Moncton.
Born in Moncton on August 31st, 1957, he was the son of the late John Spencer and late Ida (Leblanc) Spencer.
Bobby will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 39 years, Maria Spencer (Gautreau), his two daughters, Ashley Gould (Justin) and Kara Spencer both of Dieppe, his three grandchildren, Miah, Alex and Jackson, his brother Angus (Denise) of Dieppe, his sister Ann (late Alton) of Dieppe and Deborah Chaude (Christian) of France, his mother-in-law Emma Gautreau of Moncton as well as serveral nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his three brothers Frederick, Leonard and Adam, several nieces and nephews as well and his father-in-law, Cleophas Gautreau.
Before his many struggles in life, Bobby worked as a painter, vinyl hanger and a few years as a salesman in car dealerships.
In his younger years, Bobby was involved in different sports. He played and enjoyed watching hockey on TV. He loved watching the Boston Bruins and was a die-hard fan of Bobby Orr. He played for several years in orthodox softball leagues with his brothers, nephews, and many good friends. He also enjoyed bowling in leagues with his family. He adored hunting and fishing as well.
Bobby spent many weekends alongside his family playing cards and listening to country music.
He was a caring and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and cousin. Everyone that knew Bobby loved him dearly.
We would like to thank all his caregivers and many specialists who provided care and surgeries over the years.

A celebration of life will be held at the Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative, (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, E1A1G1, 506-857-1901) on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024, at 2 pm
In memory of Bobby, donations can be made to the Three Mountain Relay (Moncton Inner City School Breadfast Programs) or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
