Carol Ann Durocher, 61, of Moncton, NB, passed away on Friday, November 28th 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB. Born in Windsor, ON, she was the daughter of Frances Anne “Frannie” (née: Gowanlock) and the late Eugene “Gene” Durocher.

Carol Ann began her career as a nurse, later becoming a marketing manager of the pediatric division of John Wyeth and subsequently product manager for Mead Johnson. In 1979, she moved to Moncton where she shifted careers and explored the fashion industry. She started a custom design store called Carol Ann’s House for an exclusive and discerning clientele. She was a dedicated board member of the Moncton Museum and exhibited enthusiasm for Heritage buildings, where she was instrumental in saving Haus House known as the Old Hump Back near Bore Park in downtown Moncton, as well as, both of her store locations which she lovingly restored herself. Carol Ann lent her support to several other community endeavors.

Besides her mother, Frannie of Amherstburg, ON, she is survived by her husband, Roger Breau of Moncton, NB; one sister, Nancy (Dr. John) Greenaway of Windsor, ON; one brother, Eugene of Amherstburg, ON as well as several nieces and nephews.

By request, no visitation at the funeral home.Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB on Wednesday, December 3rd 2008 at 11 am. Reception to follow.Interment in Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Windsor, ON. Donation to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation “Palliative Care” would be appreciated by the family. Funeral Arrangement entrusted to the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB 857-1901.

À l’Hôpital Dr Georges-L. Dumont de Moncton, le vendredi 28 novembre, 2008, à l’âge de 61 ans, est décédée Carol Ann Durocher, domiciliée à Moncton, N.-B. Née à Windsor, ON, elle était fille de Frances Anne “Frannie” (née: Gowanlock) et de feu Eugene “Gene” Durocher.

Elle était autrefois propriétaire de Carol Ann’s House à Moncton et a siégée au sein de plusieurs comités communautaire. Une des ses passion était pour la préservation des édifices Héritage.
Outre sa mère, Frannie de Amherstburg, ON, elle laisse dans le deuil son mari, Roger Breau de Moncton; une soeur, Nancy (Dr. John) Greenaway de Windsor, ON; un frère, Eugene de Amherstburg, ON ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Aucune visites au salon.

Les funérailles auront lieu à la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, le mercredi 3 décembre, 2008 à 11h suivit d’une réception. L’inhumation au cimetière Heavenly Rest, Windsor, ON. Un don à la fondation Hôpital Dr Georges-L. Dumont “Soins palliatif” serait apprécié par la famille.
