It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Ann (Leslie) Richard of Fredericton on Friday April 7th, surrounded by her family.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Boyd and Arlene (Perry) Leslie.
Carol is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Barry Richard, brother and sister in-law, Brent and Rita Leslie (Dieppe), her beloved niece, Rebecca Leslie (Toronto), and fur-baby Jax. Carol will be missed by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Carol, known to many as Lulu, was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and dedicated educator. Carol was passionate about her career in education and social work and spent over 20 years in the field. Carol enjoyed spending time with friends and family, snuggling with her fur-baby, singing to anyone who would listen, cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, going to concerts, and cheating at board games.
Along with her parents, Carol was predeceased by her niece Melissa Leslie, In-laws Mary Richard and Jerry Richard, and fur-baby Charlie.
Her family would like to extend their sincerest thanks and appreciation to the staff of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital in Moncton and Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton for the care they provided.
Visitation will be held at Passage-Chartersville, 363 Amirault St, Dieppe, NB, (506) 857-1901, on Wednesday April 12th at 1 pm, with service commencing at 2 pm with Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating, reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney or Diabetes Foundations of Canada in Carol’s memory are appreciated.
The family invites you to sign a book of condolences at: www.funerairepassagefuneral.ca.
