It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Catherine Doucet, 80, that occurred on December 14th, 2023, at the Faubourg du Mascaret, Pavillon Landry in Moncton.

Born in Moncton on June 29th, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Boileau and the late Lorette (Gallant) Boileau.

Catherine was loved by all her family and friends. She always though of others before herself and was always there for people in need. Baking was one of her passions, as she baked numerous pies, homemade bread, and other pastries for different sorts of occasions. She was dedicated to others and was truly a great friend.

She will be sadly missed by her three children: Reginald “Jr” Robichaud (Rosanne Daley), Claira Pearce (Bernadette LeBlanc), and Jacques Robichaud (Tamara); her four grandchildren: Katie, Justin, Jessica, and Rheannen; her four great grandchildren: Damond, Emma, Blake, and Ellie; her brother, Bill (Carmelle) McIntyre; her life partner, Gary Hicks; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Didier.

There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held from the Passage-Chartersville Funeral Chapel (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901) on Wednesday, December 20th, at 1 pm.

In memory of Catherine, donation can be made to the Arthritis Society, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
