Moncton, NB – Cecile Delaney, 81, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, January 24, 2014, after a brief illness.
Born in Waltham, Mass on April 27, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and the late Lorette (Cormier) Hebert.
Cecile and George enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in Florida. She loved to cook, entertain and play cards with her friends.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, George; her daughter, Maureen Ferrari (Richard) of Natick, Mass; her son, George (Gisele) of Moncton; her sister, Pauline Caruso of Waltham, Mass; her two brothers, Sylvio Hebert of California and Normand Hebert of Caissie Cape; her grandson, Danny of Natick, Mass; also by several nieces and nephews.
As per Cecile’s wishes, there will be no visitations. Funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix RC Church in Moncton on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
A special thanks to the entire staff of the Manoir Notre-Dame special home in Moncton and the doctors, nurses and staff of the Moncton Hospital for their care and kindness.
