Chantal Melanson, 89, of Residence Bellevue, Dieppe, NB, formerly of Fox Creek passed away on Wednesday, January 24th, 2007, at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Fox Creek, NB, she was the daughter of the late Arthur G. and the late Elizabeth (née: Savoie) LeBlanc.
Mrs. Melanson enjoyed playing bingo, was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or and a parishioner of St.-Anselme R.C.C.
She is survived by one daughter, Leonie (Clarence) Boudreau of Dieppe; three sons: Sifroi (Marie Jeanne), Jean (Maggie) and Louis (Linda), all three of Dieppe; one sister, Belice (Alphée) LeBlanc of Memramcook; two brothers: Frank X. (Gloria) LeBlanc and Euclide (Geraldine) LeBlanc, both of Dieppe; six grandchildren: Lise, Danny, Tina, Monique, Michel and Marc, two great grandchildren: Chantal and Justin as well as by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ephrem in 1978; one sister, Dorca and also by three brothers: Noël, Zephire and Rodolphe.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Friday January 26th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and also on Saturday from 8 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St.-Anselme Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, January 27th, 2007 at 9 am.
Interment in St.-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
