In Loving Memory Of
Charles Edward Gautreau
1923-2022

Moncton, NB – Charles Edward Gautreau, 99, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at the Veterans Health Centre.

Born on March 9, 1923, in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Elias Gautreau and the late Gladys (Larton) Gautreau.

Charles was a veteran of the Second World War.

He is survived by his loving wife: Lorenza (Martin) Gautreau of Dieppe; his two sons: Normand Gautreau of Winnipeg, and Ronald (Aline) Gautreau of Shediac; his two daughters: Diane (Rino) Michaud of Edmunston, and Sheron (Terry) Ciban of Vancouver; his five grandchildren: Nicholas, Marc, Lisa, Michael and Christina; his five great grandchildren: Marc-Olivier, Nicholas, Jacob, Kayla and Mackenna; his brother: Freddy (Gerry) Gautreau of Dieppe; his sister: Thérèse Gautreau of Shediac, and by several nieces and nephews.  

He was predeceased by three sisters: Eva, Edna, and Gladys.   


Visitation and funeral service will be private.

We wish to thank the entire staff and volunteers at the Moncton Veteran Health Care Centre for their excellent care of Charles during the last three years. What a wonderful group of people that knows how to do their job to perfection.

In memory of Charles, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s society.

  2. A la famille Gautreau….Je suis sincèrement désolé et très triste d’apprendre la mort de votre père. Je n’ai eu l’occasion de le cotoyer longtemps passé . Mais ces courts moments m’ont permis de découvrir un homme très gentil.
    Il me laissera de très bons souvenirs et nous nous rappellerons de lui, de sa joie de vivre et de sa façon d’être avec émotion.
    Je suis certain qu’il repose en paix à présent.
