Lee Settlement, NB – Cheryl Lorraine Day, 57, passed away suddenly at Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton on Thursday, November 9, 2023.
Born in Tillsonburg, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late George Ronald Myers and Norma Jean (nee DeMeester) Poirier (Cyrice).
She is survived by Michael Day; her daughter, Melissa Day and her son, Mathias Day. Cheryl will be dearly missed by her mother and stepfather, Norma and Cyrice; her siblings: Isaac (Bonnie) Odenbach, Ann (Wayne) Robillard, Brenda (Rene) Legacy and Tracey Vessey. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and grand nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank and acknowledge the exceptional care given to Cheryl and the support to her family by the staff of the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital. The RN’s Madeline, Angie and Stephanie, Dr. Nicole Crevier and Dr. LeBlanc; Nurse Manager Sylvie Melanson-Caissie, and the NB Organ and Donor team, Jessica, Rita and Annie.
There will be a funeral service and reception at Central Queens Funeral Home in New Glasgow, PEI on Friday, November 17th at 10:30am. Interment to follow at St. Ann’s Church Cemetery.
In memory of Cheryl, donations can be made to the NB Organ and Tissue Donor Program or to your local Humane Society/Animal Shelter.

I am so very sorry to hear of Cheryl’s passing. I worked with Cheryl at the ASD-S office, and she was a lovely person. She was very kind natured and thoughtful. My sincere condolences to the family.
