In Loving Memory Of
CHRISTINE HATFIELD
September 18, 2021

Broken hearts, intense sadness, forever remembered. We announce the passing of Christine Hatfield, 71, of Moncton, N.B. on Friday September 17th, 2021 at the Dr Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre.

She was the daughter of the late George Douglas Hatfield and the late Ruth (Myers) Hatfield.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Lisa Mercier (Marc) of Greater Lakeburn, N.B. who was the highlight of her life; her loving grand-daughters: Marina Mercier and Kelsey Mercier, whom she adored; her pride and joy, great grandson, Christian Mercier, all of Greater Lakeburn; one sister, Sheri Cormier of Shediac, N.B.; one brother, Dr Brad Hatfield of Maryland,  U.S.A., whom she was very close with, many cousins and nephews and a special niece, Natalie Pickard of New Maryland N.B.

She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Jean Paul Cormier (2016).

Christine spent most of her life working at Livingstone, a distribution centre, having several office positions and later worked as a supervisor in a call center. Her greatest joy was having a full house, entertaining her family and serving many appetizing dishes fit for a king. She was exceptionally strong, extraordinary, giving, passionate, genuinely generous, beautiful and will be remembered as most memorable to everyone who knew her.

She will sadly be missed by many close friends; she had for more than 50 years.

At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

Interment in the Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe, NB.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.

We wish to thank Dr Eve St-Hilaire of Moncton for her deepest thanks, dedication and appreciation and also to the staff of Palliative Care at the Dr Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre for their support and dignity.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, N.B.
