St-Grégoire, NB – Clarence Dionne, 79, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton, on Saturday, January 23, 2021.
Born in Bouctouche, NB, he was the son of the late Adélard and the late Anita Dionne (nee Roy).
Clarence will be sadly missed by his wife, Rosemonde (nee Després); his daughters: Jeannette Fontaine (Val) Després Village and Gisèle Dionne (Daniel Chavaire) of St-Grégoire; his brothers: Alphonse (Yollande) of Moncton, Raymond of Riverview, Paul (Murielle) of Moncton, Alban (Ann) and George (Gislaine) both of Bouctouche; her sisters: Bernice Gaudet (Offa) of Dieppe, Thérèse Arsenault (Rhéal) and Jeannine LeBlanc (Mary) both of Bouctouche; his daughter’s little dog, Charlie, whom he loved very much; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Clarence (young age), Roger and his sister, Simonne.
Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Monday, March 15, 2021, from 2pm to 4pm and from 6pm to 8pm. There will be no visitation on Tuesday. Funeral mass will be held at St-Jean Baptiste RC Church in Bouctouche, on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 11 am, with a maximum of 125 people. We would like to thank his family doctor that he liked very much, Dr. Vincent Melanson; also to Dre. Mélanie Boucher and the staff of the Oncology Center; the nurses of the Extra-Mural Program, especially Dawn who treated him in palliative care at home; as well as Dr. Marc-André LeBlond and the wonderful palliative care team of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont CHU during his short stay.
He always appreciated the health staff during his illness, he always said “ils sont toute nice icitte”.
