CLARENCE J. CORMIER

Clarence J. Cormier, 77, of Villa du Repos, Moncton and formerly of Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday, September 1st, 2021, at his residence.

 

Born in Dieppe, NB, he was the son of the late Edouard and the late Marguerite (Allain) Cormier.

 

Prior to retirement, M. Cormier worked as a truck driver with various companies. He enjoyed music, playing bass guitar with many different bands, he was known as "Big Clarence Cormier".

 

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Yvonne (Babineau); his daughter, Linda Leger (Serge) of Cap-Pelé; his son, Ron (Carolle) of Dieppe; his daughter-in-law, Danielle Cormier of Calhoun; his grandchildren: Isabelle, Sebastien (Allison), Janelle and Madeline; his step-brother, Paul Doiron (late Shirley) of Moncton, as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Besides his parents; he was predeceased by his step-father, Arthur Doiron; his son, Gilles in 2014; his sister, Rose-Marie (Laurie); his step-sister, Ann and also by his step-brother, Armand (Jackie).

 

At the family’s request, due to Covid precautions, a private service will be held.

 

Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe.

 

Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.

 

Arrangements entrusted to Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901).

                                                    

À sa residence, le mercredi 1 septembre 2021, à l’âge de 77 ans, est décédé Clarence J. Cormier. Il demeurait à la Villa du Repos, Moncton et autrefois de Dieppe au Nouveau-Brunswick.

 

Né à Dieppe, N.-B., il était le fils de feu Edouard et de feu Marguerite (Allain) Cormier.

 

Avant sa retraite, M. Cormier a travaillé comme chauffeur de camion auprès de diverses entreprises. Il aimait la musique, jouait de “bass guitar” avec de nombreux groupes différents, il était connu sous le nom de “Big Clarence Cormier”.

 

Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse depuis 53 ans, Yvonne (Babineau); sa fille, Linda Léger (Serge) de Cap-Pelé; son fils, Ron (Carolle) de Dieppe; sa belle-fille, Danielle Cormier de Calhoun ; ses petits-enfants : Isabelle, Sébastien (Allison), Janelle et Madeline ; son beau-frère, Paul Doiron (feu Shirley) de Moncton, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.

 

Outre ses parents; son beau-père, Arthur Doiron; son fils Gilles en 2014; sa sœur, Rose-Marie (Laurie); sa demi-soeur, Ann ainsi que son demi-frère, Armand (Jackie), l’ont précédé dans la tombe.

 

À la demande de la famille, en raison des précautions liées au Covid, un service privé aura lieu.

 

L’inhumation au cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire, Dieppe.

 

Un don à la Société Alzheimer serait apprécié par la famille.

 

Les arrangements ont été confiés aux soins professionnels de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault (857-1901).
