Clauda Breau Savoie, 80, of Moncton and formerly of Saint-Antoine and Campbellton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the UHC Dr Georges L Dumont, Moncton on Wednesday January 15, 2020. She was married to Ludger Savoie. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Hermas and the late Cécile (Caissie) Breau.
Clauda was a school teacher at several schools in Kent Co., and Restigouche Co.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Ludger, her four step-children; Chantal Savoie Castonguay (Guylain) of Montreal, Renée Savoie Collette (Serge) of Dieppe, Luc (Lise) of Moncton and Marc-André (Monique) of Beaubré, QC as well as four step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her three sisters; Florence Robichaud, Bernice LeBlanc of Saint-Antoine, Jeannette Boucher (Charles) of Shediac River, her five brothers; Gerard (Mélina), Donald, Normand (Della) of Saint-Antoine, Yvon (Sandra) of Miramichi, Roger (Denise) of Pearl River, NY and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one sister Jeanne (1969) and one brother Léo (2013).
As per Clauda’s wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Antoine on Tuesday January 21, 2020 at 3:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
