Claude Savoie, 73, of Dieppe, passed away on Tuesday, April 17th, 2018, at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Baie-Sainte-Anne, NB, he was the son of the late Armand and the late Amelia (née: Daigle) Savoie.
Claude enjoyed playing golf and was very active with his grandchildren hockey. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus council #6796, Club d’Age d’Or de Dieppe and Sainte-Thérèse Parish.
He is survived by his wife, Claudine (née: Martin); two sons: René (Lise) and Paul (Lisa), both of Dieppe; one brother, Neri (Jacqueline) of Hudson, NH; five grandchildren: Caroline, Brigitte, André, Alex and Sam; his mother-in-law, Exina Martin of Dieppe; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother, Elmo.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm ONLY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, on Monday, April 23rd, 2018 at 11 am.
Interment in Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe.
Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or the CHU Dumont Foundations (Palliative Care Units) would be appreciated by the family.

À l’hôpital de Moncton, le mardi 17 avril 2018, à l’âge de 73 ans, est décédé Claude Savoie. Il demeurait à Dieppe au Nouveau-Brunswick.
Né à Baie-Sainte-Anne, N.-B., il était le fils de feu Armand et de feu Amelia (née Daigle) Savoie.
Claude aimait de jouer au golf et surtout très actif dans le hockey de ses petits-enfants. Il était membre des Chevaliers de Colomb Conseil #6796, Club d’Age d’Or de Dieppe et de la paroisse Sainte-Thérèse.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Claudine (née: Martin); deux fils: René (Lise) et Paul (Lisa), tous deux de Dieppe; un frère, Neri (Jacqueline) de Hudson, NH; cinq petits-enfants: Caroline, Brigitte, André, Alex et Sam; sa belle-mère, Exina Martin de Dieppe; ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Un frère, Elmo l’à précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, (857-1901), le dimanche de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h SEULEMENT.
La messe des funérailles aura lieu en l’église Sainte-Thérèse, Dieppe, le lundi 23 avril 2018, à 11h.
L’inhumation se fera au Colombaire de la maison funéraire Chartersville, Dieppe.
Un don à la Fondation des Amis de l’hôpital de Moncton ou à la Fondation CHU Dumont (Unités des Soins Palliatif) serait apprécié par la famille.
