Whenever a beautiful soul has passed away, there is always a trail of unforgettable memories. For me, Claudette, it was the day I decided to propose. I was on my way from Toronto in a storm. We finely met at my sister’s house. I went through thick and thin and you said yes! I’ve been loving you ever since. Claudette, my life partner of 42 years left us 10 years ago on December 30, 2015.
Her absence has been deeply felt by our two children, Danny and Kevin and our grandchildren, Michelle and Andrew.
Claudette, you have always been my best friend, my confidante and my mentor. Your sense of humor, your honesty, your caring for your children and grand children was always top of mind for you. You where the glue that kept the Gallant family together. Everybody depended on you for events, birthdays, and family gatherings. Such a valuable and heartful talent.
Remember every New Years eve, after your shift, we had a drink of ASTI Italian Wine and reminisced on the past and our future together. I have kept that tradition for the last 9 years. This December 31st, I will have a glass in remembrance of our love.
I still feel your presence guiding me in my daily life. I continue loving you and being thankful that you were in my life!
