Dieppe, NB –Colette Maillet, 71, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University
Hospital Centre, on Thursday, September 16, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Allardville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Liguori and the late Flora Haché
(Brideau).
Colette will be sadly missed by her children: Rémi of Dieppe and Christian (Josée) of Grand-Falls
and her daughter, Mélanie Richard (Josh) of Lower Coverdale; her grandchildren: Natalie, Julie,
Katrine, Kassia, Zackary and Olivia; the father of her children, Conrad Maillet of Dieppe; her
brothers: Jean-Guy (Pat) of Connecticut, USA, Raoul (Rollande) of Tracadie, Normand (Allain) of
Quebec, QC, Conrad (Judy) of Beresford, Roland (Armande) of Beresford, Pierre (Colette) of
Allardville, Daniel of Montreal, QC, Jacques (Édith) of Petit-Rocher; her sisters: Murielle of
Beresford, Yvette (Blair) and Carolle Haché (Joanne) both of Dieppe; her goddaughter, Suzelle
Cormier (Paul) of Shediac; also by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Claude and her niece, Marie-Josée.
Colette was working as a receptionist at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for most of her career. Her
hobbies were traveling, reading and collecting sea glass on the beach.
As per Colette’s wishes, there will be no visitation and funeral service at the funeral home.
A donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
We, the family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dr. George-L.-Dumont UHC
(4D and the Oncology dept.).
