It is with heavy hearts that the family of Cora Cassidy, 94, of Shediac Bridge,

announces her passing which occurred at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB on Monday May 1st, 2023.

Born in Savage Cove, Nfld, she was the daughter of the late Philip and the late Rosanna (White) Hodge.

Prior to her retirement, she was a chamber maid at the Shediac Inn. Cora and Reginald were long time members of the Moncton Association of the Deaf.

She enjoyed getting together with family and friends and would challenge anyone to a game of cards. She lived life to the fullest and had a lasting impression despite being deaf and mute. She was the life of the party and always had a smile for everyone she met.

She is survived by her sons: Phil (Thelma) of Shediac Bridge, Judson (Charline) of Grande-Digue and Joel (Sylvette) of Dieppe; by her grandchildren: Alicia and Ryan and by her sister, Gladys Cooper (late Tom) of St-Anthony, Nfld.

She was predeceased by her husband, Reginald Cassidy; by her sister, Dulcie and by her brothers: infant Claton, Bill and Dan.

No visitation and funeral service, a private memorial will be held at a later date.

A special thank-you to Dr. Lise Richard, Dr. Sarah Judson, Dr. Sylvie Poitras and Dr. Sophie Lequang and to the staff of the Dumont Hospital, for the excellent care and compassion given to our mom.
