Dieppe, NB – Corinne Bourque, 72, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, February 21, 2015.
Born in St-Philippe, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Edmée (Bourgeois) Gallant.
Connie will be sadly missed by her husband, Dismas (Des); her son, Ricky Bourque (Sheri) of Rothesay; her daughter, Gisèle Homeney (Bill) of Quispamsis; her three brothers, Edmond (Brenda) of Ajax, ON, Lionel (Thérèse) of St-Philippe and Normand of Moncton; her two sisters, Doris Richard (late Ovila), Gérène LeBlanc (late Pete) both of Dieppe; her seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; also survived by several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
Connie loved to cook, entertain and spend time with her grandchildren and family. While living in Saint John she worked in different flower shops and she was past member of the ladies auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus council #8094 in Saint John and #1310 in Moncton, also a past member of the 30 up Club in Saint John.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by infant daughter, Cindy; her great grandson, Tyler; two infant sisters, Phyllis, Irène and one infant brother, Edmond.
Visitations will be at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitations at the funeral home Friday morning. Funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix RC Church in Moncton, on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 11 am. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Liver Foundation, Kidney Foundation of Canada or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
