MacDougall Sett., NB – Corinne Maillet, 74, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, June 13, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Cocagne, NB on September 15, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Elphège and Régina (Goguen) Gagnon.
Corinne was a seamstress before her retirement. She loved nature and spending time with her friends and family.
She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Charlene Maillet of MacDougall Sett. and Michelle Maillet of Moncton; her two brothers, Yvon (Denise) of Bouctouche and Francis (Normande) of Rexton; her sister and best friend, Fernande Landry (Henry) of Cap-Pelé; also by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and many friends.
Visitations will be at the Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur RC Church slumber room in Notre-Dame-de-Kent on Monday, June 17, 2013, from 2 to 4 pm and from 5:30 until time of the funeral at the Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Cœur RC Church at 7 pm.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Louis and her grandson, André.
Donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation (Oncology Dept.) or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
