Corry passed away peacefully on December 28, 2023, at the Moncton Hospital. Born in the Netherlands, her parents were the late Cornelius and Adriana van Pinxteren.
She is survived by her sons: Casey (Betty), Tim (Kellie), and Mark (Kelly); daughter, Angela (Garry); grandchildren: Amanda (Ben), Willem, Brandon, Treska, and Brennan; and sister, Miep van der Pas (late Wil) of the Netherlands.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Nick; brothers: Henk and Piet; and sister, Jeanne.
Corry lived a long and beautiful life, married to the love of her life for 64 years. She was delighted with her children and grandchildren and had many dear friends. Hers was the type of soul that lit up with family and friends around her. She was a vibrant, vivacious personality, truly kind and nurturing. Her joy in life was only exceeded by her great faith in God and her love and devotion to Jesus through Mary and St. Joseph. She lived her faith and everyone who met her felt this love.
She was an Assistant Librarian in the English school system, part of the St. Pat’s Family Centre Ladies Auxiliary and a long-time member of the Catholic Women’s League.
Special thanks to the staff at Canterbury Hall and the staff and doctors of the Moncton Hospital for the great care and compassion given to Corry.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in her memory to the St. Bernard’s Church Building Fund (www.stbernardschurch.ca) or the Friends of the Moncton Hospital to support the Family Practice Unit (www.friendsfoundation.ca).
