Portage – Danny Cormier, 54, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, October 12th, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Besides his wife Jeannette (née Cormier) Cormier, Danny will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Lisa Smith (Damon) of Sackville, NB, Monica Cormier (Chad Chafe) of Calgary, AB; his brother, Francis Cormier of Cap-Pelé, his three sisters, Pierrette Cormier of Montreal, QC, Janice Léger (late Al) of Shediac and Nicole Cormier (Eudore Jacob) of Petit-Cap; his granddaughter, Farrah; also by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Portage – Jeannette Cormier, 53, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, October 15th, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Irishtown, NB on May 19th, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Aldéric and the late Laudia (née Gallant) Cormier. Jeannette worked at Belair Take-Out in Cap-Pelé.
Jeannette will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Lisa Smith (Damon) of Sackville, NB, Monica Cormier (Chad Chafe) of Calgary, AB; her five sisters, Jeannine LeBlanc (Donald) of Cap-Pelé, Alida Allain (Victor) of Dieppe, Yvonne Cormier of Moncton, Thérèse Fougère (Ronald) of Shediac and Annie Vautour (Claude) of Cap-Pelé; her four brothers, André Cormier (Yolande), Normand Cormier (Thérèse), Donald Cormier, Eugene Cormier (Sandra) all of Moncton; his sister-in-law, Béatrice Cormier of Moncton; her granddaughter, Farrah; also by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Jeannette was predeceased by her husband, Danny (October 12, 2012), a sister, Mélina and a brother, Laurie.
Visitations for both, Danny and Jeannette, will be held at the Ste-Thérèse d’Avila RC Church slumber room in Cap-Pelé on Thursday, October 18th, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm and on Friday, October 19th, 2012 from 9:30 am until time of the funeral service at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
