In Loving Memory Of
Danny Sonier
1954 - 2022

Moncton, NB – Danny Sonier, 68, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at his residence with his family by his side. His disease had made him lose control of his life but with his determination and his great courage he took it back in his hand and after careful consideration he made the decision to request medical assistance in dying to put an end to his suffering.
Danny was a trustworthy person, he loved his family dearly, even though he was grumpy at times he will be missed by all. A great Acadian who was passionate about history, music and fishing.
Born in Tracadie-Sheila, NB, he was the son of the late Normand and the late Edna Sonier (Basque).
Danny is survived by his siblings: Gary (Nicole) of Montreal, QC, Terry of Moncton, Murielle Sonier (Therry Thomas) of Moncton and Mona Sonier of Dieppe; his half-brother: Fernand Duguay (Louise) of Montreal, QC; her special cousins: Francine (Clément) and Joanne Sonier; his nephew: Miguel Sonier (Émilie) and his niece: Annie Sonier Doucet (Marc); as well as several aunts, uncles and his walking companion: Kimos alias Chester, his sister Murielle’s dog who he loved very much.
As per Danny’s wishes, there will be no visitation and funeral service.
In his memory, a donation can be made to the “l’Association Égalité Santé en Français”.
