Dieppe, NB – At the Albert House Hospice of Moncton, on Thursday, January 13th, 2022  passed away peacefully David Thibodeau at the age of 70 years old.

Born at Dieppe, NB, he was the son of the late Edgar Thibodeau and the late Minnie Thibodeau born Gauvin.

After David graduated from Université de Moncton. David worked as a professor at CCNB Dieppe until his retirement. David was a National figure skating competitor, coach, judge and Member of the club Patinage Lames d’Or of Dieppe. Gardening was a big part of David’s life.

David will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Monique Thibodeau of Dieppe; his son, Daniel Bourque (Sylvie) de Moncton; two sisters, Jeannette Allain (Paul-Émile) of Dieppe and Rose-Marie Thibodeau of Moncton; one brother, Robert “Bobby” Thibodeau (Carol) of Moncton; two grandchildren, Mariève and Alex; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  

Due to the current situation related to the Pandemic, visitations and the Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

A donation to the Albert House Hospice of Moncton would be appreciated by the family.

  11. So sorry to hear of David’s passing. I knew David from Figure Skating in St. Andrews and Mincton. He always had you laughing and he was always intrigued with beautiful gardens.

    For David’s family I wish for you to keep David and the memories you shared with him close to your heart. I am sure he was a great Husband, Dad, Grandfather and Brother.

  14. Sorry to hear of David’s passing. He coached and partnered me in dance back in the 80’s. I have many fond memories of my skating days. I always appreciated his honest opinions and dry sense of humour.

Il a laissé sa marque et sera manqué.

    I am so sorry for your loss. David and I skated together for many years in Moncton and St Andrews. What I remember most about him was his wonderful sense of humour and his ability to make people laugh. Although we had not seen each other for a long time, I will remember him always.   53. Dear Monique, I was so sorry to hear from Emery that David has been ill and had passed on to a more peaceful place I only met you once .My husband, Jerry< and I planned to attend the service for David today but but decided, because of road conditions , to view the video.
    My name is Kaye Hannah and I was involved in Figure Skating and judging for more than 70 years .David contributed a great deal of time to the sport. My heart goes out to you and your family at this time, David will be greatly missed.
