Delisca Gallant, 63, of Shediac, passed away on Thursday, February 1st, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Grande Digue, NB, she was the daughter of the late Pierre A. and the late Clarinda (née: Richard) Poirier.
She had retired from NB Tel prior to having worked at FCT. Delisca was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens, she adored animals and enjoyed cross-stitch and knitting.
She is survived by her husband, Gilles Richard; three sisters: Rose Anne (Martin) of Jemseg, Marie-Reine of Cocagne and Lucille (Louis) of Rothesay; three brothers: Alyre (Gloria) of Saint-André-LeBlanc, Allison (Rosetta) and Herbert (Eleanor), both of Grande Digue; one step-daughter, Renée (Daniel) of Dieppe; one step-son, Daniel (Sharon) of Dieppe; two sisters-in-law: Anne and Simone, both of Vancouver, BC; one brother-in-law, Georges (Sharon) of Vancouver, BC; four step-grandchildren: Alexia, Erika, Hidan and Amélie; her ex-husband, Philippe of Richibuto and the Gallant family; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one brother, Pierre "Pete"; two brothers-in-law: Bernard and Georges; two nephews: Gerald and Stephane and also one niece, Monica.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Monday from 9 am until time of service.
A celebration of the word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 5th, 2018 at 11 am.
Interment in La Visitation Parish Cemetery, Grande Digue.

À l’hôpital régional de Saint-Jean, le jeudi 1 février 2018, à l’âge de 63 ans, est décédée Delisca Gallant. Elle demeurait à Shédiac.
Née à Grande Digue, N.-B., elle était fille de feu Pierre A. et de feu Clarinda (née Richard) Poirier.
Elle était retirée de NB Tel avant de retourner travailler avec FCT. Delisca était une partisane des Canadiens de Montréal, elle adorait les animaux et aimait de faire du point de croix et de tricoter.
Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux, Gilles Richard; trois soeurs: Rose Anne (Martin) de Jemseg, Marie-Reine de Cocagne et Lucille (Louis) de Rothesay; trois frères: Alyre (Gloria) de Saint-André-LeBlanc, Allison (Rosetta) et Herbert (Eleanor), toutes deux de Grande Digue; une belle-fille, Renée (Daniel) de Dieppe; un beau-fils, Daniel (Sharon) de Dieppe; deux belles-soeur: Anne et Simone, toutes deux de Vancouver, C.-B.; un beau-frère, Georges (Sharon) de Vancouver, C.-B.; quatres beaux petits-enfants: Alexia, Erika, Hidan et Amélie; son ex-mari, Philippe de Richibucto; la famille Gallant; ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Un frère, Pierre “Pete”; deux beaux-frère: Bernard et Georges; deux neveux: Gerald et Stephane ainsi qu’une nièce, Monica l’ont précédée dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe (857-1901) le lundi de 9h jusqu’à l’heure des funérailles.
Une célébration de la parole aura lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, le lundi 5 février 2018 à 11h.
L’inhumation au cimetière paroissial La Visitation, Grande Digue.
