Dieppe, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Della Doris McDonald after a brief courageous battle with cancer at the Moncton City Hospital March 18, 2023 at the age of 74.

Born in Minto, NB, she was the daughter of the late Leonide Richard and the late Emma Roy Richard.

Della will be missed by her son Christopher and daughter-in-law Aline; one brother   Jean (Nadine) Richard; four sisters:  Léa Cormier (Ronnie), Annette Belliveau, Bernice LeBlanc Fred), and Gisèle Richard.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Layne, her husband, Ronnie, two brothers-in-law, Gerald and Rheal.

Della was a very dedicated worker having worked for various doctors and also worked at the Clinic Louis Bourque for many years.  Her friends were very special to her as well as her Friday night card games and spending time with her family.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Passage-Chartersville (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe).  The funeral service will be held On Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023 at 11:00am at the Passage-Chartersville (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe).

A special thank you to Dre Christine Telfer and the Staff at the Palliative Care at the Moncton Hospital and all of those who supported the family during these very difficult times.  You know who you are.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Della’s memory can be made to the Palliative Care of the Moncton Hospital or to the donor’s choice.

  1. Della was a beautiful soul with a kind heart and huge smile! I am so glad we got to spend time at the cousins reunion the past few years and laugh and share memories of our parents! Thinking of all the family at this sad time but knowing that Della is at peace with the family that went before her. ❤️❤️

  3. Sincere condolences to the entire family, Della was a special person, always greeted everyone with a gentle smile, never had harsh words to say about anyone. Knowing her suffering is over is comforting to us. RIP Della.

    L for great Love of friends and life – To know her was to love her!
    A for Ageless – She met people she had not seen in decades and no need to say who she was!
    Our friendship spanned more than 50 years! I will forever cherish our times together.

    On est triste d’apprendre la nouvelle du décès de Della. Elle était toujours plaisante à parler avec à chaque fois qu’on l’aurait vu surtout au cinéma. Nos plus sincères condoléances et on vous tiens dans nos prières.

  34. I was so saddened to read the passing of Della McDonald today. As a sales rep who’s known Della for the past 16 years, I can not recall meeting a more wonderful soul. She was by far my most favourite clinique manager!!! She was so kind to me. I will miss her dearly, but feel blessed that I knew her ♥️. My condolences to the family.
