Cap-Pelé, NB – Désiré Goguen, 95, passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, February 5, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Cap-de-Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Frederick and Adèle (Caissie) Goguen.
Désiré will be sadly missed by his children, Linda (Maurice) of Bas Cap-Pelé, Dorine (Nicky) of Petit-Cap, Donald (Brenda) of Bas Cap-Pelé, Joanne of Cap-Pelé, Louise (Armand) of Dieppe and Kenneth (Rita) of St-André; his four brothers, Joseph (Lorraine), Alfred (Odette) both of Grande-Digue, Normand (Germaine) of USA, and Raymond (late Grace) of PEI; his three sisters, Maria (George) of Moncton, Rhéa (Late Roméo) of Cap-Pelé, and Dorilla (late Alphonse) of Toronto, ON; his nineteen grandchildren and his twenty-one great grandchildren; also by several nephews and nieces.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Esther (2005); one son, Paul (1964); and one grandchild, Benoit (2013); four brothers, Robert, Arthur, Wilfred and Amédée; five sisters, Yvonne, Nora, Germaine, Aurélie and Irène.
Visitations will be at Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila slumber room in Cap-Pelé, on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 9:00 am until time of funeral service at Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila RC Church at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
