Diana Cormier, 88, of Normandie Street, Dieppe and formerly of Moncton and Grande-Digue passed away on May 23rd, 2007 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Grande-Digue, NB, she was the daughter of the late Vital and the late Mélina (née: Bourgeois) Arsenault.
Diana and husband Edmond spent many winters in Florida. Her great passion was to live life to the fullest as she enjoyed great health. Her hobbies included fitness, playing cards, dancing and socializing.
She is survived by two sons: Roger (Sylvia) of Dieppe and Georges of Cormier Village; two daughters: Jeannette (Roland) of Grande-Digue and Gisèle (Maurice) of Moncton; two sisters: Emilie Fougère of Grande-Digue and Mary Dickson of Waltham. She will also be missed by a special friend Laurie, her nine grandchildren: Michèle, Parise, Monique, Jennifer, Yves, Renée, Martin, Denys and Danielle as well as 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Diana was predeceased by her husband, Edmond (1999); daughter, Lucille; son-in-law, George and sisters: Liz and Loretta; brothers, Léandre and Gérard; stepbrother, Joseph; stepsister, Sarah and grandsons: David and Marc.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Thursday, May 24th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
No visitation at the funeral home on the day of the service.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste.-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, on Friday, May 25th, 2007 at 11 am.
Interment in La Visitation Parish Cemetery, Grande-Digue, NB.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
