Dieppe, N.-B – Diana Gauvin, 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 12th, at the Foyer Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Dieppe.
Born in Grande-Digue on March 6th, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Henri D. LeBlanc and the late Célina (Caissie) LeBlanc.
Diana worked as a Seamstress at the Hotel-Dieu, and then worked as a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Gauvin Service Station and Equipment.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Danny Gauvin (Sylvette) and her daughter, Francine Gauvin, both of Dieppe; her loving grandchildren: Miguelle (Cédric) and Germain (Isabelle); her sisters: Mina Arsenault (late Alphérie) and Sophie Bearsmore (late Melvin) both of Dieppe, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ulysse Gauvin; her sisters: Gloria and Sr. Evangeline; and by her brothers: Henry, Normand, and Albert.
There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held at the St-Anselme roman catholic church, Dieppe, on Wednesday, April 19th at 11 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
In memory of Diana, a donation can be made to the Breast Cancer society or to the Parkinson society.
