Saint-Antoine, NB – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Babineau, 74, at the Moncton Hospital, on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023.

Born in Saint-Damien, he was the son of the late Ernest and the late Marguerite Babineau (Hébert).

Donald will be sadly missed by his sisters: Rose-Marie (Harvey) LeBlanc of Moncton, and Claudette (Paul) LeBlanc of Irishtown; his brothers: Charles Babineau of Moncton, and Claude (Charlene) Babineau of Notre-Dame; his nieces and nephews: Janelle, Julien (Julie), Josh (Michelle), Marc, and Stephane; as well as his special friend, Rina Dupuis.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Linda Mai Saulnier.

Donald worked as a truck driver for Midland Transport most of his life until he retired. He was the kind of man who never bothered anyone and was well-liked by many. Donald loved listening to Bluegrass music and was a big advocate for the Moncton Wildcats hockey team.

In respect to Donald’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service.

  5. Dear Claude, Charlene, Joshua, & Janelle, & all the Babineau Family: I will always cherish all the good times, we all had with Don at the campground, Blue Grass festivals, & parties in Notre Dame. Don was always up for a visit & a good time. He loved my homemade pickles.
    I’m sure Don & Albert are having a beer, & listening to Blue Grass. Don will be forever missed. Deepest Love & Sympathy to Don’s Family & Friends.XOXO

  9. Had the pleasure of working with Don at Midland ,very nice guy and he once told me he worked with my Dad at St Lawrence Cement ,ran into Don at Speedsport back in April was very nice to chat with him once again ,RIP ol buddy till we meet again

You could always count on Donnie to get the job done, with no issues. Always in a great mood and would do anything for anyone. Very well respected not only at the terminal but with all our customers.   68. On behalf of the Moncton Wildcats, we are very saddened to hear of Don’s passing. He will be greatly missed around the arena on gamedays and at various Wildcat events. As a long time season ticket holder he was part of the family.
