Adamsville, NB – Donald Gauvin, 66, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital with his wife by his side, on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Adamsville, NB, he was the son of the late Edmond and the late Rosalie (Arsenault) Gauvin.
Donald is survived by his wife, Stella; his three sons, Kevin (Carolyn) of Fredericton, Timmy (Wendy) of Riverview and Jeff (Denice LeBlanc) of Moncton; his two brothers, Ronnie (Kathleen Smith) and Gary (Marlene) both of Trenton, ON; his three sisters, Annette Cormier (Walty) of Adamsville, Paulette Shewman (John) of Trenton, ON and Nancy Hebert (Paul) of Dieppe; his six grandchildren, Aislinn, Kaelan, Ethan, Logan, Jaxon and Isabella; along with three children, Alyssa, John, Abby who also held a special place in his heart; also by several nieces and nephews.
Donald loved to do road trips on Sundays, gardening, hunting and also loved his grandchildren very much.
Visitations will be at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, Moncton at 11:30 am. Reception to follow in the lower level at the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce RC Church.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Friends of the Moncton Hospital or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Oncology Dept. and the Palliative Care for their kindness and support throughout Donald’s illness.
