Dorice LeBlanc
1933 ~ 2020
She was married to the late René LeBlanc. Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Georges Breau and the late Marianne (Hébert).
She will sadly be missed by her six children: three sons, Philippe (Bernice), Gabriel (Estelle), Michel; three daughters, Rena Goguen (Louis-Philippe), Francine Cormier (Vincent) and Nathalie Smith (Greg); seven grandchildren, Isabelle, Louis-Georges, Jean-Philippe, Gabriel, Julien, Geneviève and Janelle; six great grandchildren, Maxime, Marie-Eve, Alexi, Malika, Sarah-Michelle and Emélie-Rose. She also leaves to mourn two sisters, Dina Arsenault of Bedford Mass and Florence Caissie of Residence du Marais in Dieppe and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Desire, Médric, Gerard and one sister, Florida.
Dorice loved life, enjoyed music and had a great sense of humour. Her joy was her time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of “Les Dames d’Acadie”, loved to cook, enjoyed sewing and quilting. She had tremendous courage and loved to play cards especially in the later years at the nursing home “Le Pti Chez Nous” and at “Le Foyer St Antoine”. The family would like to thank all the staff at both nursing homes for their care and dedication towards Dorice.
As per request, there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be held at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church in Cocagne, on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 2 pm and will not exceed 50 people, due to the pandemic.
