Dorice “Pete” Carrier, 73, of Dieppe and formerly of Miller Drive, Moncton, NB, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 24th, 2007 at the Dr. Georges-L Dumont Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Edmundston, NB, he was the son of the late J. Auguste and the late Espérance (née: Violette) Carrier.
Mr. Carrier retired from Via-Rail and was a parishioner of Notre-Dame de Grâce Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving family; wife, Yolande (née: Poirier) with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage; two daughters: Louise (Drew) McMurray of Riverview and Sylvie (Andrew) Carter of Moncton; one son, Denis (Denise) Carrier of Dieppe; three sisters: Marcella (Roland) Martin of Edmundston, Jeanine (Réal) Dionne of Ste Foy, QC, and Violetta Parent-Godbout of Moncton; three brothers: Gérard (Jeanne) and Ronald (Cécile) both of Edmundston and Paul-Emile of St Lambert, QC; 6 grandchildren: Matthew, Amy, Stefan, Kyle, Jérémie and Eric as well as several nieces and nephews.
Beside his parents, Mr. Carrier was predeceased by one sister, Juanita.
Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe NB, 857-1901 on Wednesday, February 28th, from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, NB on Thursday, March 1st, 2007 at 10: 30 am.
Interment in Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe, NB.
