In Loving Memory Of
Edgar J. “Tiny” McLaughlin
1938 ~ 2023

Edgar J. McLaughlin of Dieppe, born in St-John, NB, formerly of Waltham, MA., (46 years), and Moncton up to 1964, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, at the age of 84.

He was the son of the late Clarence McLaughlin and the late Marguerite McLaughlin Hébert.  

Prior to his retirement, he worked as an auto mechanic and maintenance at the Middlesex County Hospital in Waltham until his retirement in the year 2000. He and his wife retired to NB. In 2011.  He was also a very handy man who could do any type of repair work around the house, yardwork and small construction projects. He also enjoyed cooking. Edgar will be sadly missed by his family and his friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 ½ years, Diane (Diana) McLaughlin; his sisters: Jane (Guy) Langis of Moncton and Elaine (late Merv) Williams of Australia; and by several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his two brothers: Ronald McLaughlin and George McLaughlin.


Visitation will be held at the Passage-Chartersville Funeral Chapel (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901) on Thursday, June 29th from 2 to 4 pm only. Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 4 pm on the same day.

Special thanks to the staff of 4C during his 3 ½ months stay at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital, and a special thank you to our nephew and niece Jim and Diane LeBlanc for their support. Thank you to Cedric Gautreau who provided the music for the service.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
