Edgar Jaillet, 85 of Bouctouche passed away at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital on Friday December 24, 2010 after a brief illness. He was married to Anita (Maillet) Jaillet for 64 years .Born in Saint-Norbert on September 09, 1925, he was the son of the late Alexandre and the late Priscille (Boucher) Jaillet. Edgar was also the adoptive son of the late Joseph and Nelida Thibodeau.
Edgar worked for 35 years for the Irving Oil Co, He was a longtime Maple Leaf fan, he enjoyed walking in the Irving Park, playing cards, doing volunteer work and spending time with his family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Anita, his two daughters, Jeannette McGrath and Rita (Donnell) Babineau of Bouctouche, his three sons, Emile, Leonard (Corinne) of Bouctouche, Léo (Mai) of Saint-Anselme, his eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Edgar was predeceased by one daughter Louise, two great grandsons Jason McGrath and Justin Leblanc, three sisters, Laure, Mercedes and Delcina, five brothers, Eugene, Clarence, Hector, Adelin, Leonard.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Wednesday December 29th, from 7 to 9 and Thursday from 2 to 3:45pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church Bouctouche on Thursday December 30th, 2010 at 4:00 pm with internment in the parish cemetery.
In Edgar’s memory donations can be made to the “Arbre de l’Espoire” Dr Georges L Dumont hospital foundation.
