Grande-Digue, NB – Edgar Leger, 58, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, September 16, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Cocagne, NB on November 22, 1954, he was the son of the late Pierre and Dorice Leger.
Edgar will be sadly missed by his wife, Francine (Caissie) Leger; his son, Emmanuel Leger of Grande-Digue; his daughter, Julie Leger (Rick) of Grande-Digue; his four brothers, Maurice of Calgary, AB, Guy (Lisa) of Cocagne, Rhéal of Edmonton, AB, Jean-Pierre (Joline) of Grand-Barachois; his five sisters, Odette Belliveau (Odilon) of St-Paul, Eliza Foster (Bill) of St-Antoine, Huberte Leger (Charles) of Grande-Digue, Bernice Leger (Roger) of Grand-Barachois and Dorine Melanson (Gerry) of Cocagne; his mother-in-law, Marie Caissie of Grande-Digue ; his four brothers-in-law, Clovis Caissie (Anne-Marie), Alfred Caissie (Jeannette), Ron Caissie (James), all of Grande-Digue and Bertin Caissie (Yvette) of Scoudouc; his two sisters-in-law, Ida Leger (Alyre) of Grande-Digue and Rachel Cormier (Pierre) of Cocagne; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his father-in-law, Emmanuel Caissie (1984).
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 5:30 until 6:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at La Visitation RC Church in Grande Digue on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 7 pm. Reception to follow.
