Edgar Léger, 97, of Saint-Paul passed away peacefully at the Foyer Saint-Antoine on Thursday November 24, 2016. He was married to Lorraine (Cormier) Léger. Born in Saint-Paul, he was the son of the late Philias and the late Eulalie (Doiron) Léger.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Lorraine, his daughters; Yvonne Cormier (Eugère) of Saint-Antoine, Linda Belliveau (Denis) of Victoria, BC, Noëlla Cormier (Raymond) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Shirley Nowlan of Bouctouche, Valencia Léger (Randy Mullin) of Ottawa, Monique Léger (Stephen Gilbert) of Montreal, his sons; Jean- Noël(Nathalie) of Saint-Paul, Robert (Rosanne) of Medicine Hat, AB, his sister, Sr Alma Léger ndsc of Moncton, his daughter-in-law Margaret, fifteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Edgar was predeceased by a daughter, Joanne, a son, René, five sisters; Emelia, Marguerite, Marie, Minie and Béatrice, and six brothers; Frederick, Henri, Auguste, Damien, Eddy and Antoine.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Paul Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, on Monday November 28, 2016 from 7 to 9pm and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:45am. The Funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Paul Church on Tuesday at 11:00am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In Edgar’s memory a donation can be made to the Foyer Saint-Antoine.
