Cocagne, NB –Edith Goguen, 88, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015.
Born in Cocagne, NB, she was the daughter of the late Delphis and Éveline (Richard) Babineau.
Edith will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Linda Goguen (Eudore) of Cocagne, Lisa Cormier (Jacques) of Dieppe; her son, Francis Goguen of Cocagne; her two sisters, Bertha Cormier (late Edouard) of Bouctouche and Jeanita Cormier (late Paul) of Lancaster, Mass; her three brothers, Médéric Babineau (Rhéa Léger) of Lynn, Mass, René Babineau (Elizabeth Cormier) of Shediac, Ronald Babineau (Linda Goguen) of Cocagne; her two sisters-in-law, Pauline Goguen of Cocagne and Rita Babineau of Bouctouche; her six grandchildren, Luc, Yves, Jean-Jacques, Gabriel, Mélanie and Marc; her two great grandchildren, Anabelle and Michaël; and also by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Félix Goguen (2001) and three brothers, Normand, Edgar and Hervé.
Visitations will be at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne Slumber Room in Cocagne on Thursday, September 17, from 7 to 9 pm and Friday, September 18, from 2 pm until time of the funeral at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne Roman Catholic Church at 4 pm.
Donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Palliative Care Unit, to the Cocagne Church or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
