Saint-Paul, NB – Edmond Poirier, 88, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.

 Born in Saint-Anselme, NB, he was the son of the late Antoine and the late Hélène Poirier (Saulnier).

Edmond will be sadly missed by his wife: Imelda Poirier (Lirette); his children: Bernard (Denise) of Scoudouc, Yvon (Brenda) of Alberta, Elizabeth Hébert (André) of Bouctouche, Angèle Poirier (Mike) of Dieppe and Bernice Vautour (Daniel) of Moncton; his sisters: Maria Boucher of Bouctouche and Yvonne Cormier (Normand) of Scoudouc; his sister-in-law: Henriette of Ontario; his grandchildren: Jasmine (Dalton), Cédric (Brooke), Sophie, Ricky (Kylin), Melanie (Randy), Lisa (Stephane), Tina (Guillaume) and Gabrielle; his great grandchildren: Jacob, Olivia and Tyson; also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers: Arthur, Willie and Alyre (late Dorise); two sisters: Laudia (late Alfred) and Catherine (late Roméo).

In respect to Edmond’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Celebration of life will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB (506) 532-1050, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 1pm.
