Edouard Collette of Manoir Notre-Dame, Moncton passed away after a brief illness at the Dr Georges L Dumont University Center Hospital on Wednesday April 25, 2012 at the age of 95. He was married to the late Clara Pitre. Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent on April 6, 1917, he was the son of the late Rémi and the late Lucianne (Robichaud) Collette.
Throughout his life Edouard worked as a carpenter.
He will be sadly missed by his children; Lorraine Castle of Boston, Ma, Anna Melanson (Jean-Marie) of Moncton, Richard (Majella) of Moncton, his four sisters: Dora Myers, Anita Caissie, both of Sackville, Léona Léger, Dorina Melanson both of Moncton, his two brothers: Laurie (Alice) of Dieppe, Alfred of Moncton, his son-in-law Réginald Léger of Moncton, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Edouard was predeceased by two sons, Arthur and Francis, a daughter Patricia, two sisters, Irene and Precille, two brothers, Gérard and Philomon.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Paul Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Paul on Friday April 27, 2012 from 7 to 9pm and on Saturday from 9 to 10:45am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Paul Church on Saturday April 28, 2012 at 11:00am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In Edouard`s memory donations to the Parish of Saint-Paul or the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation Oncology unit would be appreciated.
