Shediac, NB – Eliza (Chevarie) Vautour, 83, of Shediac passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre on Friday, February 11th, 2022. Born in Saint-Charles, she was the daughter of the late Livain and the late Eleonore (Arsenault) Chevarie.
Eliza will be sadly missed by her two daughters: Linda Sherwood (Dale) of Dieppe and Patsy Vautour of Oromoco; her two sons: Jean-Guy Vautour of Shediac and Israël Jr. Vautour (Louise) of Shediac Bridge ; six grandchildren: Ashley Humphrey (Dale), Steven Sherwood (Bianca), Sarah and Nick Holt, Monica and Erica Vautour; two great grandchildren: Blake and Brody Humphrey; three brothers: Antoine (Mary) and Maxime (Kim) both of Hamilton, Ontario, and Zoël of Richibucto.
Beside her parents, Eliza was predeceased by her husband Israël Vautour; her brothers: Arsene and Alpha; her sister Maria, and two infant sisters.
As requested by the family, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. A graveside service will be held at the Saint-Charles-Borromée RC church cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eliza’s memory can be made to the CHU Dumont Foundation.
