Shediac Bridge, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Babineau on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton at the age of 79.
Born in Shediac Bridge, NB, she was the daughter of the late Jean-Baptiste and the late Ida Légère (born Babineau).
Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her husband, Réginald Babineau; her children, Paul Fougère of Montreal, Pierre Fougère (Paulette) of Lakeburn, Jeannette Landry (Gilles), Cécile Fougère both of Moncton, Maurice Fougère (Lynn) of Riverview, Louise Babineau (Marc) of Shediac Bridge and Monique Fougère of Moncton; her brother, Arthur Légère (Donalda) of Dieppe; her sister, Eva Goguen (Eddie) of Cocagne; her twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; also by several nieces, nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Richard Fougère; her grandson, Stuart and her brother, Jean.
Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Monday, June 10, 2019 from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2pm to 3:30 pm. Funeral service will be held at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue, on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 4 pm.
