Bouctouche, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ella Belle-Isle, who passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Bouctouche, NB, at the age of 86.
Born in Bouctouche, NB, on November 26, 1939, she was the wife of the late Félix Belle-Isle (2024) and the daughter of the late Pius Allain and the late Lina Allain (née Duguay).
Ella will be sadly missed by her children: Linda Hébert (Ronnie) of Bouctouche, Guy Belle-Isle (Vance) of Saint John, and Gisèle Cormier (Daniel) of Saint-Antoine. She also leaves her grandchildren: Michèle, Mélanie, Gabriel, and Isabelle; her great-grandchildren: Noah, Arabella, Brayden, Carsen, and Amélie; her sister, Bertha Mills (late Eddy), and her brother, Oscar Allain (Bernise), both of Bouctouche, and a sister-in law, Stella, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Besides her husband Félix and her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Lilianne; and her brothers: Roger, Généreux, and Bernard.
Ella worked for many years at the Bouctouche Post Office. She also dedicated over 20 years of volunteer service at the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Ella enjoyed making quilts and doing embroidery. She also loved cooking and preparing meals for her family.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste for the care provided to Ella over the past years.
Visitation will be held at Passage-Maillet, located at 29 rue de l’Église, Bouctouche, on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church in Bouctouche.
In Ella’s memory, donations may be made to the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste Activity Fund.

My cousin Ella was always so great to me and my whole family. Every summer when we came to Bouctouche she would invite us over for a meal and an all day visit with them. She was a great cook and always made our favoites.
