Elodie Cormier
1927 - 2022

Dieppe – Élodie Cormier (born Breau) passed away on July 18, 2022 at the age of 94. Wife of the late Adélard Cormier, she is survived by her two daughters, Patricia (Rodney Robinson) Dupuis and Joanne (Kevin) Costain. Born in Saint-Paul de Kent, she was the daughter of the late Marie-Blanche (born Leblanc) Breau and the late Adolphe Breau.

Élodie held various jobs during her life, including teaching at St. Paul’s School and administrative assistant at the former Metropolitan store. But the real source of joy for Élodie was her family. She loved with all her heart her two daughters, her husband, and her grandchildren Samantha Costain, Jérémie (Monica) Dupuis, Mathieu (Chantal Gautreau) Costain, and Jade Robinson, as well as her great-granddaughters, Brooke Costain and Élodie Dupuis.

In addition to her daughters and grandchildren, Élodie is survived by her sister Clara (late Henri) Cormier and her sister Zélia (late Emery) Belliveau, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Emma and Rita, as well as her brothers Aquila, Eric, Ernest, Jérémie, and Eric.

Élodie was a woman who loved everyone around her. Her door was always open to listen or help anyone. She loved to laugh and had a contagious “joie de vivre”.

Visitation will be held at Passage – Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (506) 857-1901, on July 25, from 2 to 4 pm. The funeral service will follow immediately thereafter, at 4 pm, in the chapel.

Interment will be in Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe. A special thank you to the Oasis d’Or staff for all the exceptional care provided to our mother throughout her stay at her Oasis d’Or home.
