Eloise Bastarache, 94 of Saint-Antoine passed away peacefully at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital University Center, Moncton on Monday January 30th, 2012. She was married to the late Aurèle Bastarache (1986). Born in Leominster, Mass, on June 15th, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Alexandre and the late Catherine (Richard) Cormier.
She will be sadly missed by her seven children; Maria LeBlanc (Raoul) of Chelmsford, Mass., Noëlla Cormier (Edouard), Jeannette Thibodeau (Donald) both of Waltham, Mass., Normand Bastarache (Emma) of Marlboro, Mass., Patricia Bastarache, Yvon and Aubrey (Geralda) of Saint-Antoine, her nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn one sister; Leona Babineau of Richiboucto-Village, three brothers; René (Geneva) of Richiboucto-Village, Eric (Eugénie) of Shediac and Gerard of Saint-Jean, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one daughter Lucia, two sisteres, Rita and Céline and two brothers, Zoël and Henri.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine on Wednesday February 1st, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Thursday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Antoine Church on Thursday February 2nd, 2012 at 11:00 am with interment in the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bouctouche in the spring.
In Eloise’s memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation or to the Foyer Saint-Antoine.
