Cap-Pelé – Elsie Bourque, 81, of Trois-Ruisseaux, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, June 9th, 2022, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton.

Born in Trois-Ruisseaux, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert and the late Marie (Duguay) Fagan.

Elsie had many hobbies, she enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, going for drives, a trip at the casino and listening to music.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jean Bourque; her daughter, Nicole Cormier (Ronald) of Cap-Pelé; her son, Bernard Bourque (Monique) of Cap-Pelé; her granddaughter, Adèle (Mathieu); her great granddaughters: Ariane and Olivia; her sisters: Rhea LeBlanc (Clovis) and Gloria Boudreau (Donald), both of Cap-Pelé, Eva Bourque (Paul) of Saint-André-LeBlanc, Yvonne Boudreau (Claude) of Grand-Barachois, Claudine Boudreau (Cécime) of Shediac and Jeannine LeBlanc (Ola) of Petit-Cap; her brothers: Clifford Fagan (Clara) of Moncton, Ovila Fagan of Cap-Pelé, Edvin Fagan (Berthe) of Scoudouc and Yvon “Popeye” Fagan (Linda) of Trois-Ruisseaux, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Aurore and by her brothers: Claude and Rhéal.

Visitation will be held from Sainte-Thérèse-d’Avila RC Church funeral Salon, Cap-Pelé (downstairs at the church), on Monday, June 13th, 2022, from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, from 9:30 am until 10:15 am.

Funeral mass will be held from Sainte-Thérèse-d’Avila RC Church, Cap-Pelé, on Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, at 10:30 am.

In Elsie’s Memory, a donation can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Special thank-you to the nurses and staff of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital for the excellent care given to Elsie.
