In Loving Memory Of
Elsie Wetmore
1934 ~ 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Elsie Wetmore announces her passing on December 4th, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Alfred and the late Josephine Bernard.

Elsie is survived by her children: Susan (late Roger), Kathy (Robert), Patty (Gordon), and Nancy (Brent); her grandchildren: Jennifer and Terri; her great grandchildren: Landon, Chelsea, and Taylor; her sister, Reta Vautour; as well as her nieces: Debbie and Jackie.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert many years ago.

Elsie was a strong woman, and despite challenging health issues over the last several years, maintained a positive attitude and never lost her sense of humour. Besides her family, Elsie’s great loves were cats and books. She was fortunate to be an avid reader until the very end.

The family would like to thank Dr. Breau and the staff of the Extra Mural for the wonderful care given over the last several years. Also, a special thank you to the staff at the Grass Home for the loving care given to our mother during this last year.

In respect to Elsie’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service.

The family invites you to sign an online book of condolences at:

Many fond memories of your Mom coming over for tea, one, having to greet her at the door with paper towel in hand as our dog Susie would pee on the floor from excitement every single time. How I enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table listening to our Moms chat. Xoxo

  16. Mrs Wetmore, as she was always known by me, played a major role in my life. As the mother of my best friend, Susan, she was always welcoming to me and all of Susan’s friends. I spent many hours at her house, almost a second home. Fond memories of Mrs. Wetmore sitting at the kitchen table, always reading a book, with cats nearby. Gentle and kind, she was always there to listen and offer advise. Susan and family, you were blessed to have such an awesome mother. Condolences.

  17. Susan, Cathy, Patty, Nancy and your families: I just heard today that your wonderful Mom, Elsie, passed away. My sincere sympathies and big hugs.
