Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Arthur and Emma (Richard) Bourque.
He was an electrician by trade and prior to his retirement, was employed as an electrical department supervisor for Hub Meat Packers.
Emile is survived by his wife of 62 years, Albertine (Gaudet) Bourque and three children, Paul (Sarah), Diane (Richard) Goodwin, all of Moncton and Louis (Diane) of Dieppe ; seven grandchildren, Martin (Lise-Anne), Christian, Kevin (Megan), Andrew, Ryan, Mathieu (Janik) and Melanie (Brian). He also leaves behind one sister, Irène Goguen and one brother, Alcide (Ida) Bourque both of Cocagne, NB; as well as two brothers-in-law, Yvon Poirier and Camille Babineau; two sisters-in-law, Thérèse Bourque and Lorraine Gaudet ; also several nieces and nephews.
Emile was predeceased by his brothers, Laurie and Néri; his sisters, Anida, Léona, Dora and Maria.
The family will receive condolences at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton, NB, on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. No visitations on Friday morning. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix RC Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00 am.
