Moncton, NB – Emma Jerome-Lahai, 52, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Friday, September 20, 2024.
Born in Liberia, West Africa, she was the daughter of the late Peter and the late Felicia Jerome (Ziah).
Emma will be sadly missed by her children: Aaliyah and Jessica both of Moncton; her siblings: Oldman Jerome, Sarah Jerome, Deh Jerome, Queen Jerome and baby sister Jerome all of Liberia; her good friends: Claudette Gabiddon, Rashidatu Nyei and Josephine Simbangavi all of Moncton; family friend/President of the Liberian Community: Moses Lombeh of Moncton; her aunt: Ziah Nyanue of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; also by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Emma was an active member of her community; she served as a member of the African’s Women Association of Moncton and a member of the Faith Christian Fellowship Church in Moncton. Emma pursued higher education by going back to college. She loved her career in human services and healthcare. She enjoyed cooking with her family, watching movies and listening to music.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton, NB E1C 2P1 (506) 855-1145, on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 4pm to 6pm and on Saturday, September 28, 2024, the visitation will be held at the Faith Christian Fellowship, 70 King Street, Moncton, NB from 12pm to 1pm. The Celebration of her life will be held at 1:30pm.

It’s been a lot to process when I learned of Emma’s passing . Emma was always so special to me and was there for me when I needed someone. I looked up to her and admired her and how wonderful of a mother she was . I am so sorry for your loss Aaliyah and Jessica. Your mom was wonderful and loving and she will be missed. I’ll always remember her in my heart and our time together.
Today,I remember my big sister Babygirl 😭😭not just for the time we shared but the love,jokes,laughter, wisdom,and strength you embodied. Every moment of your life was filled kindness,your infectious laughter 😭😭and the warm that radiated even in the darkest days.
We had lots of fun hmmmmm you kept your feet so clean and grease under your feet and slippers that no one could easily wear your slippers with the fear of not wanting to fall…Aaah…..I want to hear that sweet voice of yours singing 😭😭😭😭
