In Loving Memory Of
Enrique Jose de Arcos Turco
October 24, 2011

Moncton – Enrique Jose de Arcos Turco, 83, passed away peacefully at his residence, on Monday, October 24, 2011.
Born in Vigo, Spain on April 7, 1928, he was the son of late Gabriel de Arcos and late Nieves Turco.
Enrique was an employee at C.N.R for 14 years and at sea for 30 years, as a Chief Marine Engineer. He retired in 1998 from the Department of Fisheries, Bedford Institute of Oceanography.
Enrique was a lover of nature; he loved birds, gardening and worked hard towards sustaining nature’s causes. For all of his life, he was an avid reader of prose, poetry, literature and the classics. He was Cervantes biggest fan. His greatest pride was his family. He lived to care for them, something he always did since his childhood. His life was filled with music and he was always singing ballads, opera and Spanish music.
He loved Zarzuelas. He was very proud of his Spanish heritage and of being a member of the Italian Community of Moncton.
Enrique was very proud of his children, and will be greatly missed by his daughter, Maria del Mar de Arcos; his son, Enrique Francisco de Arcos (Claire); his four grandchildren, Natalia, Miguel, Sébastien, Amélie and his great granddaughter, Eva.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dolores Marcelina Gonzalez Lorenzo (2008).
In respect to Enrique’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private funeral service will be held at Passage Chapel in Shediac Bridge on Saturday, October 29th at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the ALS Society would be appreciated by the family.
